Obama’s Plans for Student Loans

I heard some interesting — and, to my mind, positive — news about student loans the other day: President Obama is trying to make all student loans federal, to cut down on banks taking advantage of students by charging them high interest rates and implementing misleading terms.
There hasn’t been much oversight over private student loans. For instance, they haven’t had to be clear with students which loans are offered by the government (usually at a lower rate) and which are offered by the bank itself. Furthermore, they haven’t had to report rates in a standardized way, so it can be extremely hard to compare student loans and find out whether you are getting the best possible rate.
Student loans might therefore qualify for what’s known as predatory lending practices. And that’s what President Obama is working to eliminate. People should be able to get their education without being preyed upon by greedy lenders, don’t you think? Some kid who wants to be a chef, but can’t afford the cost of most culinary arts degrees without assistance, shouldn’t have to give up his dream because he can’t afford the high interest rates on many student loans.
Learning About Commercial Real Estate

When I set out to take one of the Real Estate training programs offered by our community college, I didn’t know what to expect. Sure, I have read books by Donald Trump and watched many different real estate investing television programs, but I was sure that investing in a property didn’t take an hour as shown on TV.
What I had not expected was the number of options that we have when it comes to investing. Take for example buildings: there are either commercial or residential. But there are many different sub-categories that fall under these two broad definitions. Not to mention the fact that these types of properties can all be zoned differently as well.
Though it looks like I will have a firm understanding of both residential and commercial property investing when I am done, I think that it will be wise for me to enroll in a Real Estate Investment Coaching program to have someone to consult when I just don’t know what I am doing.
Needless to say, so far this has been both and interesting and complicated process. I can see why the “big” real estate investors have a team of advisors to help them out – there are just too many things to keep track of.
Review the Extra Tasks before Choosing a Career

The main thing that you will look at when you choose a career is whether or not you’ll like the job. Don’t forget to look at all of the tasks involved in the job before you make this important decision. Sometimes the extra tasks can make you decide not to do a career after all.
For example, you may want to go into social work. That’s probably because you like the idea of helping people. However, you have to know that there is a lot of paperwork involved in doing social work. You may also be asked to testify in court sometimes. If you don’t enjoy those tasks then you may not like this career after all.
Another example is the work of a teacher. You may love working with kids. However, if you don’t like planning and attending school events then you’re probably not going to enjoy the daily career of being a teacher after all.
To get a good idea of what a job is really like, you should interview people who are already doing that career. Ask them about those extra tasks. Ask them specifically what they like least about the job and why they think the job is worth it anyway. This will make it more likely that you’ll choose a career that you can do day in and day out.

After attending AT Still University, I decided that I wanted to further my education and started looking into what it would take to earn an advanced degree in the field of public health. I have been very satisfied with the cutting edge online technologies that AT Still uses to present its classes that I felt confident I would want to continue learning within their system.
Their online Masters in Public Health program is one of the highest rated in the country, and when it comes time to getting a job, or competing for a promotion you would rather have your degree from ATSU than anywhere else.
As more educational institutions offer their degree programs online the stigma that a diploma earned through the Internet is somehow not real begins to dissipate. With thorough checking of work completed by students, the online educators have the ability to actually be better than some classroom instructors. Because all participants understand that scheduling and availability is done as possible, when you start working on a project or assignment, you know that your complete focus is there.
The same goes for your instructors. When they are providing you with their years of experience and knowledge, you are receiving the very best in one on one education.

You may not realize it right now, but getting into an online humanities degree program can open your future up to a whole range of different careers. With a degree in the humanities, you’re not confined to simply working in the arts; you can become an educator, an administrator or practically anything else. Having this kind of background and degree can also make you an attractive candidate for any kind of business that requires creativity, versatility, and the mental flexibility to move in a variety of different directions. Although training in economics or business administration were formerly prized as the only kinds of education that had any worth in the world of big corporations, it’s now recognized that simply going through an online MBA program may without any kind of Humanities background can lead to rigid, too-linear thinking in a world where flexibility and ingenuity may be keys to many corporations’ survival. There’s no doubt that MBA online degree programs have their place in the business world, but more and more original thinking is seen as the way to solve problems that a conventional MBA approach may not be able to cope with. So don’t underestimate the value of a Humanities background.
