Doing What YOU Want to Do

There’s a great line in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull where Indiana Jones tells “Mutt,” a kid who keeps dropping out of school, that if fixing motorcycles is what he wants to do, then “don’t let anyone tell you differently.”
As a writer, this line really speaks to my own experiences. I spent most of my youth being told that I couldn’t do what I really wanted to (write), and so for a while I struggled to find something else to do. Of course, I ended up falling back into writing anyway, and when I did I discovered that I actually could make a living at it.
Of course, you still have to be realistic about it. It’s good to find someone in the industry you want to pursue, who can tell you both the good and the bad without distorting either one, so that you can make the most educated decisions about your career path.
Often schools will help you to do this. For instance, Tom Addis III recently spoke at a California academy of golf about the golf industry, and what kind off golf employment opportunities they can expect after graduation.
If your school doesn’t offer any opportunities to speak with people in your chosen industry, you still have other options. If you are doing an internship or have a part time job in the industry, of course, you will have plenty of opportunities to speak with others and get a read on the job market. You may also be able to find a professional on your own who is willing to mentor you or at least give you a little bit of advice.
Choices in Frames

College diploma frames arrive in campus stores in late April and usually last until late summer. A college diploma frame collection is something that is important to have for students to select as they get ready to graduate. Many students are proud of the hard work that they have put into their college work life and want to show it off with a beautiful frame. In addition to the frame collections, most campus stores also have selections of alumni merchandise, too. After you graduate from your institute of higher education, it is important to show your support with alumni merchandise. Just because you graduate it does not mean that you are done supporting your university.
As an alumnus of my university, I support them financially, as well as with fan support at sporting events. Sports, like football, were a big part of my college life and since I have graduated I still enjoy watching the football games. It makes sense to still be a fan after all of these years, especially if you enjoy the game in the first place. Many other alumni also enjoy being a fan of their college sporting programs. Without alumni, I would assume that few fans would be in the seats.
Excellent Careers Without College

Do you have to go to a four year college to ensure future success? Do you have to attend a university to have a bright future and career security? College or university isn’t for everyone. There are plenty of career choices that don’t involve college training. Some people learn more from on the job experience rather than class room learning. With some people learn best from teachers and lectures, others learn best from watching, observing, asking questions and trying the trade under the watchful eye of a professional or master in the trade. Successful careers take dedication and know-how, not necessarily book learning.
Top chefs often begin their training as apprentice chefs and watch professionals to learn their trade. By assisting in kitchens of top chefs, the apprentice can master and perfect his craft and pick up tips of the culinary arts. Mastering tips of a top chef can’t be learned in a classroom but instead through the trial and error of working in a fast paced kitchen. Joining on the job training with culinary education from a master chef, the apprentice will ultimately take control of the kitchen and manage the entire staff. Forging
Safe Mortgage Licensing?

I am considering a career in the mortgage industry, working with a bank but perhaps even working in other facets of this business. I have done a good deal of research into what it takes to get quality mortgage training. Initially, individuals may not realize the need for specialized training, but for me, it looks like it is a better option to obtain a more formal level of training (to help secure a future that is far more lucrative by many means) than it is to not get enough training.
One option that I have fund online is safe mortgage licensing schools. I did not realize that you could obtain your degree online, far less did I realize just how easy the process of getting an online education could be for this particular field. Still, for those that may not know, problems like loan officer training are relatively easy to get into and they are affordable options for training (much more affordable than obtaining a degree or certificate from a local college or university would be.) For this reason, I am heavily considering going this route. Has anyone that may be reading this done this before and if so, have they been able to it well?

How much time do you spend on the Internet? Most of us are spending more and more time online because there are so many fun things that we can do there. There are also a lot of educational experiences we gain from the Internet.
Examples of education available on the Internet include:
- Basic medical and healing information. If you’re having a problem but not one serious enough to go see a doctor, you can browse through sites like WebMD or even chat with an Advanced Physician Assistant Online to learn what’s wrong with you.
- Catch up on world news. Learn about changes in the economy, career ups and downs and other things from online news sites.
- Learn about old friends. Social networking sites like Facebook allow us to actually track human movement online so we can now know where our old friends are and what they’re doing. Fascinating stuff!
- Get a real education. It is actually possible to get advanced degrees online. The Masters in Health Science Online is one example. You can literally learn from the Internet this way.
The Internet can be just a simple source of entertainment. However, it can also be a great tool for education. How you decide to use it is really up to you.
