Learning About Commercial Real Estate

When I set out to take one of the Real Estate training programs offered by our community college, I didn’t know what to expect. Sure, I have read books by Donald Trump and watched many different real estate investing television programs, but I was sure that investing in a property didn’t take an hour as shown on TV.
What I had not expected was the number of options that we have when it comes to investing. Take for example buildings: there are either commercial or residential. But there are many different sub-categories that fall under these two broad definitions. Not to mention the fact that these types of properties can all be zoned differently as well.
Though it looks like I will have a firm understanding of both residential and commercial property investing when I am done, I think that it will be wise for me to enroll in a Real Estate Investment Coaching program to have someone to consult when I just don’t know what I am doing.
Needless to say, so far this has been both and interesting and complicated process. I can see why the “big” real estate investors have a team of advisors to help them out – there are just too many things to keep track of.

Kudos on this blog post. Training for real estate is critical to be successful. They key is to locate information that helps you grow as a real estate investor.
If you are an independent, I would definitely recommend a coach. There is too much to know in commercial real estate. The more resources you can call on the better. Coaches are like a Swiss Army knife for your practice.
